David IV: Looking In

This incomplete figure invites us to look into his life. In the cracked mirror in his chest, we will  invariably see a little piece of ourselves. The cage in the back of his head depicts the constructs and discourses keeping us trapped in cognitive frameworks. The trapped bird signifies the will to be free from encaged being.
